Know your origins.

An ‘origin’ is the place — and the culture — where a crop is grown and processed. Climate, soil, and local practice give its products a character all their own: flavor, quality, reputation, and the ecology and traditions of that landscape.

We build origins and markets around Keystone Crops — species whose ecology, cultural importance, and economic value give them an outsized role in regenerating landscapes and communities.

Our flagship origin: the Songkhla Lagoon Watershed

Wanakaset — “forest agriculture” — is a traditional Thai practice of farming like a forest: rubber layered with fruit, timber, and understory crops, rebuilding soil, water, and biodiversity as it yields. The Wanakaset Symbiosis Network (เครือข่ายวนเกษตรเกื้อกูล) is Thailand's first Community Enterprise Network, founded by five community enterprises across the Songkhla Lagoon Watershed and the neighbouring Thepa Watershed in southern Thailand: Ban Khlong Tor, Ban Mueang, Wang Yai, Wang Pha, and Tamot.

WSN's rubber production moves the market through the Regenerative Rubber Alliance — a multi-stakeholder collaboration that connects the Wanakaset farmers with aligned strategic partners and global footwear brands committed to building the world's first regenerative rubber supply system, among them Timberland, Vans, and The North Face. Founded in 2022, the RRA is committed to regenerating all of the rubberlands of the Songkhla Lagoon Watershed — approximately 1% of the world's rubber production.
